Jocylyn Denise
Digital Surrealism, Visionary Art, Psychedelic Realism

Taking digital artistry to the next level, Jocylyn Denise redefines the boundaries of contemporary computer art. Jocylyn weaves light and shadow, rich colors, and special effects into intricate digital tapestries of elegant form, sumptuous texture, and surprising depth.

As a self-taught graphic artist, Jocylyn has developed her own sense of style and expression. Prior to 1997, Jocylyn worked primarily with traditional mediums; charcoal, watercolors, acrylics, the usual. In 1996, Jocylyn underwent a digital transformation, focusing most of her creative energies on the nuances of imaging software programs.

Now, Jocylyn works almost entirely in the computer realm on a software canvas. She is most comfortable with digital paintbrushes, color palettes, and effect filters.

Jocylyn's work has been described as Digital Surrealism, Visionary Art, and Psychedelic Realism. Her works frequently feature lavish colors, intricate patterns and textures, organic curves, psychedelic effects, and geometric forms. Subject matter is inspired by modern mysticism and imagery, digital innerspace, Christian symbolism, ancient iconography, personal spiritualism, emotion, and introspection.
